The project entails a customized ecommerce site, allowing easy shopping for users wanting to browse and shop right on the same page. The website allows for navigating through simply categorized products, browsing for user needs, and on-page sidebars that reduce page-leaving to facilitate adding onto shopping carts. Each product page is labelled with detailed descriptors, features and benefits, and the shopper can choose from a number of options tailored to their own preferences right on the same page.
By minimizing the number of page transitions required for the entire shopping process, the website visitor is easily encouraged to shop right through to the closing stages to check out. Should the shopper not be ready to check out immediately, they have the opportunity to add products to a favourites list so that they may return to the website again at a later time and finalize their choices or move on to check out. This again maximizes conversion retention, by keeping interested visitors to the site returning to making an online sale.
